In provided logs there is no issue with equalizer visible. What exactly is happening with equalizer in your setup?

In this log (issue with equilazer) we can see this:
[2021-03-20 21:10:47.987598] [0x70aad010] [info] [OpenAuto] [BaseEqualizerManager] server address call finished, result: 4 [2021-03-20 21:10:47.987637] [0x70aad010] [warning] [OpenAuto] [BaseEqualizerManager] retrying to obtain address. And I can select the different available presets (like Rock,...) but there is no effect on the sound. Is the equalizer based on pulseaudio-equalizer ? If yes I will look into that directly.

Strange, I di download the file and see the messages.
When I play a music in bluetooth mode, the equalizer has no effect. I can select the different modes but this has no effect on the sound. But the equliazer was working before. I do confirm equalizer has not effect even when playing music through bluetooth. I have all configuration files here. Regarding the main issue reported into the topic. It was finally not due to the phone. It is exactly the same issue reported here. this is the bug I have in my main car which is delivered with android auto option. In my bus (where there is open auto pro), no sound at all. I did a lot of tests in both my main car and my bus: - Test with my wife phone --> all good in both my car & my bus. - Did a factory reset of my phone and set the phone with my google account --> not good. - Did a factory reset of my phone and set the phone with my wife account --> all good. - Did a factory reset of my phone and set the phone with my google account again --> not good. Currently I am look how to fully clear all preferences/cache of my google account.. not found yet.

Fixed, it was due to some files I added as per a guide regarding systemctl for user. This guide is too old right now.
In case you need systemd --user uses this one : https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/systemd/User After removal all good !

me and again me but this time with a workaround in case of sound issues with latest android auto or google assistant update.
If you face the issue like the one in subject of this thread, which comes with lost of mic when calling or no sound at all under android auto, try this: - create a new google account and select this one. - set android auto assistant to this new account. - set the app "home" to this new account (maybe not necessary). I am quite happy to have found this workaround after : 5 hours looking into my OAP / raspberry OS which was not the guilty at the end !, contacting Huawei (very good support, they were willing to get my phone for hardware checking !), did 4/5 factory resets including few tries with different google accounts...I am happy :-) for the second bug regarding equalizer which is mentioned in some post of this thread...it was due to dbus for users with wrong settings from my side (see previous post).

Glad you worked it out, thanks for sharing.
