There are a lot of posts in this forum looking for ways to control lots of different things and how to do that. I'd like to bring attention to a very useful App that can fill a lot of different roles on that topic. Some of you may be familiar with the ESP 8266 and ESP32 microcontrollers. There is a firmware that makes it really easy to use those for sensors and actuators and all kinds of stuff. That firmware is called ESPEasy.
One of ESPEasy's advanced users created a version of it for the Raspberry Pi called RPIEasy and it makes setting the Pi up for sensors, controlling GPIO and tons of stuff simple and easy. No programming necessary. Check it out!
