PAJ7620U2 Gesture Sensor configuration

I have the gesture sensor installed and working.  Pretty cool stuff!

I have looked at this link (configuration), but I would like to know if there is a way for me to be able to assign actions to the recognized inputs.  So far I have these gestures recognized by some Python code, and what OpenAuto Pro is doing:
  • Left swipe - OAP -> previous track (answer phone, but haven't tried yet)
  • Right swipe - OAP -> next track (reject call, but haven't tried yet)
  • Up swipe - OAP -> volume up
  • Down swipe - OAP -> volume down
  • Forward - OAP - pause/play
  • Backward - OAP - pause/play
  • Clockwise "twist" - OAP - unassigned
  • Counter Clockwise "twist" - OAP - unassigned
  • Wave - OAP - unassigned
It would be great if we could fully configure these actions and map them to OAP actions.  By the way, the orientation option is great!
We tested various PAJ7620U2 sensors really heavily during driving (approx. 17k kilometers) and the final conclusion was that the only gestures really worth recognition were up, down, left, right and forward. That was the reason why we decided to bind concrete functions to concrete gestures and there is no option (so far) to configure that.
