Hi guys, I have found an issue with the Pi 4 that was not an issue on the 3B.
When the pi is shut down, it seems to keep the USBs active and does not do a proper shutdown.
I found this out after my car had been sat for about a week and the battery was totally flat, I could not even turn on the interior lights.
When I took the battery out to charge it I found it's voltage was down to just 2V. Luckily for me this time it did not kill the battery, Although I'm worried next time it will as Gel batteries are particularly expensive.
I have left the pi unplugged sinced then and measured a regular 0.04v drain per day with the alarm active, no big deal.
On digging through the raspberry pi docs I think the issue is with the POWER_OFF_ON_HALT ( https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentatio..._config.md )
I'm hesitant to plug it back it in and try though as I really cannot afford to replace the battery right now with my insurance, MOT and Tax all due this month.
Has anybody else had this issue and solved it, or knows for sure if this will fix it?
Thanks all, Ryan.
