Did you try to follow steps from this thread? Is issue the same? Did you try to contact HiFiBerry support?
I think you went to fast by updating to kernel version 5.. Hifiberry is dead atm and can't get any sound of it.. aplay -l shows it but cannot add it..
Going back to version 9.1.. and wait till it's solved.. to hot to think about it atm.
Also can't download version 9.1 as of connection refused.. please open connection so i can fall back to version 9.1
OpenAuto Pro is based on the regular Raspberry PI OS and just follows its updates. We do not use any custom drivers or kernel patches. Looks like communication between PI foundation and HiFiBerry failed for some reason. It might be also worth to report an issue on the PI foundation github.
Sorry to say but that's not my job, we paid for your service... so in my opinion thats your job I'm just a user with low basic knowledge...

Quote:Hi,.
We are aware that there are several issues with the 5.14 Raspberry Pi kernel. From our current point of view it's not production-ready. We don't test every release with every board - that's just not possible.
The "official" production kernel tree is still 4.19, that's what we recommend at the moment.
Linux is build in a community process. There are lots of people working on this at different parts. We're the same "random user" like you, even if we do contribute code to the kernel. Just copy/pasting your bug report to Github wouldn't help as we would have to relay questions back to you. Therefore it's best to directly report this as you can answer potential question easily.
Best regards,
Daniel
he's saying the same as i do ... version 5.4 came to fast!
Please go back to version 4.19 it's not worth having those issues in a product like this.
And please check your email....
