Could you please post content of the /boot/config.txt file and output of the dmesg command?

Looks like there are some initialization problems of the HiFi berry device. We found only this thread https://support.hifiberry.com/hc/en-us/c...nel-5-4-18 . Edit: Are you sure you are using correct overlay? Please try with others dtoverlays and see what happens.

Verified I was using the correct overlay and also performed the optional "Configure Alsa" steps mentioned on the HiFiberry link you sent first.
Also tested a couple other overlays just in case but no luck; dmesg shows same errors.

The best way would be to ask on the Hifi Berry forum what mentioned errors mean. Openauto Pro is based on regular Raspbian image so it should make investigation process much easier.

Hifiberry is dead atm and can't get any sound of it.. aplay -l shows it but cannot add it.. Going back to version 9.1.. and wait till it's solved.. to hot to think about it atm. Also can't download version 9.1 as of connection refused.. please open connection so i can fall back to version 9.1 (08-13-2020, 01:13 PM)wou5er Wrote:(08-13-2020, 12:54 PM)BlueWave Wrote:No i did not took contact with hifiberry support as i don't know what i should ask... there blog isn't helping either.(08-13-2020, 12:47 PM)wou5er Wrote: Having the same issue here using HIFIBerry DAC pro OpenAuto Pro is based on the regular Raspberry PI OS and just follows its updates. We do not use any custom drivers or kernel patches. Looks like communication between PI foundation and HiFiBerry failed for some reason. It might be also worth to report an issue on the PI foundation github. |
