I just completed the flashing of OAP 9.0 and setup. Everything works very well except for the volume control. At first, like normal, I started up with the volume control showing the standard null ">X." I did an SSH and added "Digital" to the audio mixer name in the OAP config file, as I have with each version to date. But that didn't work for this new version. So I ran amixer and alsamixer. I confirmed that my soundcard is recognized and I saw a mixer name "Master." After changing the config file mixer name to Master, the sound control "X" disappeared. The music plays but continues at 100% and the volume sliders are ignored. So then I removed the "digital" control I have always used and added an "Analogue" control to the mixer and now it is working and the sound is adjustable.
This release is the best version to date, IMHO. OAP comes up a lot faster than previously. And AA is easily connecting. No more struggles to get it to work. A couple of things you should look at:
The OAP music player can conflict with AA. The AA player takes precident and automatically starts even though I did not set it up that way.
Could you add the volume control to the bottom tool bar? If it were fixed in place, it would be a lot easier to control the sound for the player and for AA, as applicable.
Thanks again for all that you are doing. Im really enjoying OAP 9.0
