Hi All,
I'm after some help with the audio volume.
My setup (audio only):
Pi outputs to USB Sound Card which has a 3.5mm slot for the audio out.
I've made a cable that goes from 3.5mm 2 channel to RCA 4 channel. I've basically split the left and right channels into 4 for my amplifier.
The amplifier is a 800w 4 channel amp, 4 ohm, powering 4 speakers that are 4 ohm 130w RMS.
My problem is that the volume that the speakers output is very low.
I've turned the OpenAuto volume setting up to 100%, as well as the phone's volume.
The alsamixer shows volume is at 100%.
In PulseAudio, I've turned the sound card output up to 153% (max).
Does anyone have any idea why the sound volume is so low?
Is it the sound card? I know it's a cheap one...
Is it the cable that I have made that splits the signal? I've used good quality speaker wife for this.
Do I need some form of pre-amp?

Update:
There is no feedback through the speakers so I haven't used a ground loop isolator.
When the system powers down, there is a short bit of static played through all speakers at the same volume music plays at when at full volume.
Update 2:
After pulling everything apart and putting it back together, there is now some feedback through the speakers. It's not much, but enough to drown out the soft music. Maybe I've got some form of ground short?
