Digital instrument cluster
#1
Hello everyone, would be nice to see a digital instrument cluster option in android auto. Maybe with obd or mcp2515 and second hdmi port (on pi4).
There is some products on the web but not for all cars. Sad https://a.aliexpress.com/_dK93E )
Thanks for keeping openauto up to date ??

Thanks for your idea. We are actively developing OBD feature that in further evaluation might be used as a digital instrument cluster.

Okay, but there is a lot of elm327 interfaces, from china clone to obdlink. Should a cheap interface can read all data and display real time data or only expensive one can do this?

ELM327 interfaces should not differ between each other. The problem might be that chinese factories produce fakes which may not work in the same way as genuine ELM327 interfaces. The best way would be to buy genuine ELM327 interface.
