5 " touch display - touch does not work
#1
Hello everybody, I have a little problem there. When I start the PI it goes up to the confirmation (Accept or Reject) Button. But I cant push any button ... nothing happens!
It's a 5 " touch display at the Pi 3b+ connected via HDMI. System release is 3.3.1
What should I do?

best regards, Hanns

It means that before it works, I mean, you were able to type serial number? Can you flash the image again and give a check.
Also, does your screen require additional settings in config file?

I have not made any entries, the system boots up to the "Terms of serice" image and stops there. I did not change anything in config.txt

The question is if you have to? Check at your display manufacturer website.

I have from the directory:
https://github.com/waveshare/LCD-show/bl...nfig-5.txt
appended to the raspi's config.txt.
First test, it works .....
Thank you, greetings from Germany, Hanns

I have a wave share screen but 7 in. I have not tried to use it with OAP. On mine I have to use 2 USB cables, one for power (I don't sugest to use the PI) But the other needs to go to the PI from the touch port on the screen. and of course the HDMI cable.

Question number 1, does your screen have this port on the side for touch?
Question number 2, does it work on raspbin, outside of OAP?
Question number 3, could you give us a link or model # of the screen?

When I get a chance this weekend I will give it a try to see if it works.  I will get back to you.
what PI are you using and what version. This will tell me what hardware I should use.

I will be using this screen to test if that helps.
