Just for reference to future readers, i have used the following 2 adapters.
Ugreen CM109 USB Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter
This one seems to work just fine. I have some audio issues (popping/pausing) which may be caused by something else though. Beyond that, all connections seem to work just fine.
I also tested this one.
Ugreen CM390 USB Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter
Just for start, its firmware (rtl8761b) is not included in the release, but that's easy enough to fix, by copying and pasting the files from another pc that has them. After doing that, you can connect with it, but it might take a few tries, and I've never been able to connect through OAP, only through raspbian's bluetooth manager. So probably avoid this one.
