Also, tire pressure monitor function would be nice for up to 12 tires, but my research indicates that's a tough one.
Thanks for your hard work.
Adding additional cameras should not be a big deal from software point of view. Anyway Raspberry PI has limited performance and more cameras might kill it. We will have a look for possibilities.
Regarding tire pressure, we have to be sure that hardware is fully available and can be used for more user. Also obviously it must provide some interface (communication) documentation. Do you have any proposal for reference hardware?
Meanwhile we finished working on Equalizer. Stay tuned for the new release really soon!
I'll see what I can do about the TPS hardware. Sensors are available for purchase, but the documentation may be a problem. They work on 433mhz and 315mhz radio frequencies, depending on where in the world one is. The problem is programming them and assigning each sensor to a particular wheel, which would likely have to be reverse-engineered from a commercial unit.
As for the camera(s). I would only be powering one at a time. I would just like to be able to select which one from the OAP menu. I need three: a cam to view my pickup bed, one on the tailgate for backup, and one on the back end of my trailer for trailer back up. Still working on the setup. It would be nice to be able to use the available and very inexpensive RCA cameras. The RCA-to-usb adapters are pretty iffy. One has to make their own mounting hardware/weatherproof container for the raspberrypi cameras.
