@571 Skins are quiet problematic and from our experience with Audi MMI skin not so popular. For know we will no go in this direction.

Another option could be to just implement official support for certain sensors - e.g for RTC, you could implement out of the box support for DS3231. Same principle for light sensors etc. In other words, keep it simple

And OpenAuto: - A screensaver with a big clock so i can easily see the time when not using AA - Better radio UI, the current is not suitable for use in a car - Multitouch - Automatic connect AA Wifi' Base system: - USB upgrade feature, with backup and restore) - No use of raspbian desktop or hide it better. it is now booting to desktop and then starts openauto, not so nice And all the other crankshaft features, like: - Easily configure hardware - All configuration, like wifi, bluetooth inside openauto - Custom brightness command so i can use the inbuild brightness slider with my screen

I started testing and I notice that for example light brightness and volume control are not necessary. Since the built-in navigation/Radio is controlling this. - Keyboard mapping. Here I would suggest that like with the other thread about canbus skipang module, it would be easy if the keyboard strokes could be linked by other devices. For example that we can map a canbus code to a button stroke, same for the TTL RS3232 for the MMI. And as extension of this canbus that the time is also extracted from the canbus same as night modus (light on). Also i was thinking to map few keystrokes to for examples pixel clicks on the display. For example Y is x50 y20 for pressing "OK" in waze when there is something on the road. - More I noticed that the installed apps are using suddenly different keystrokes and also aren't keyboard-only friendly when there isn't a touchscreen available.

In general we like your ideas, however they are focused more on providing some very specific, specialized functionality. Our idea is to provide users a tool, OpenAuto Pro, base on which you can do all the things you have mentioned on your own. For example: Keyboard mapping solution. We gave you possibility to use defined keystrokes. Now, based on canbus module, you can build what you are looking for. All these can be done by users. From our point of view these is last phase in development in our software. Nevertheless keep positing, we will grab something for sure

Possibility to mirror the phone's screen on the Raspberry PI and control it's interface with included multi touch and keyboard support. Handy improvement for users of Android 9.0 (Pie) wherein IP address of the phone is not persistent anymore. Notifications for volume level, brightness level, now playing track, bluetooth connection status and active call Below you can find some screenshots. Stay tuned
