GPS Signal "LOST" when screen goes blank - Arlof - 07-06-2019
If I'm driving and navigating, as soon as the phone Galaxy S8 screen times out / dims to black it says GPS signal lost.
If I put it on Max Screen On Time: 14:30 .... it doesn't fix it. As soon as the screen shuts off (not locked) but screen is dark (not dim still works when dimmed) GPS signal stop working.
Anyways figure it might be a setting I'm missing....
Newest Version Downloaded Last Week.
Everything works fine if I keep the screen on by touching it keeping the display live.

It looks like your phone has some power saving routines. It will shutoff GPS transceiver when goes sleep to save the battery. Did you try to check settings of your phone regarding power saving?

you have to set "screen always on" in the android auto settings.
my honor 8x did the same thing when phones screen timed out

(I had already enabled screen always on)
