Strange issue when in Android Auto - Chrisfromwa - 07-05-2019

As I've been testing out my project more,  I'm noticing something strange when within Android Auto.

What I'll randomly see,  is that Android Auto will randomly switch between screens on it's own.   For example,  it may stay on music app, but then switch to Google maps,  and then switch to the home screen,  then back to the music,  then back to maps.    Doesn't seem to be any consistency for how often it changes,  or how long it stays on a specific screen.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm running Android Auto version: 4.4.592344
Connected via USB
I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling AA but same thing happens.

I don't notice this behavior in OAP or even on the desktop of the Raspberry Pi.  Everything seems to work just fine

Was able to record it in action

I'm not touching anything and it's flipping through the screens.

What version of OpenAuto Pro do you use? Is it reproducible with the latest one?

I'm using the latest version of OA.
I think it's something with my phone though

I hooked my wife's phone up and everything seems to be working. At least I haven't seen it happen yet.

I also noticed on my phone google maps is in night mode. But on her phone is day mode.

I don't know where that would even be set.

I've tried clearing app data and cache on my phone. No difference.

Any idea on what I can do. I really don't want to have to reset the phone.

I had this problem with my LG V20, it also did the same thing in my Hyundai Sonata so I didn't suspect it was OAP at all.

After testing OAP and the car with other phones (including a different V20), I knew it was something about my phone so I did a factory reset and the problem went away. I used the LG backup app to backup before and restored after the reset without reintroducing the problem (so far anyway).
