Bluetooth Audio Out - themlruts - 07-05-2019

I am setting up my system as follows
I have onboard bluetooth connecting to a special bluetooth adapter called Tune2Air  This allows me to skip songs via the wunder wheel control on my BMW K1600 GA.
I have it paired up and followed the directions on this page https://bluewavestudio.io/community/showthread.php?tid=696  There is another link on that thread but seems to be dead.
I right clicked on the speaker icon and changed  output to the tune2air.  I cant get any audio.
The good news is i am able to change songs in AA which is awesome I just cant get the sound output.
any help would be greatly appreciated

In case of problems with bluetooth, as the first try we usually recommend to test a setup with any external Bluetooth 4.0 (or higher) adapter that is not based on broadcom chip. Builtin bluetooth adapter seems to have problems almost with all bluetooth features (HFP, A2DP, etc).

What adapter are you using? Is it one of these? https://boveeusa.com/How is it connected to the Pi?

It is that adapter and is paired to the pi via external BT adapter in the pi

Wow I’m glad I replied this is a cool setup! What happens if you pair the PI to a Bluetooth speaker or headset? What happens if you pair a non audio device like a keyboard or mouse?

I had another thought. It looks like you have the Bluetooth manager installed. Have you trusted the Tune2air?

Frank
I paired a head set still no audio out. Should the head set show as audio out in the sound control panel?

If you paired the headset with the Pi, Yes it should. What Bluetooth adapter for the Pi did you purchase?
