[SOLVED] Audio cuts out - Printable Version

[SOLVED] Audio cuts out - Jman - 07-04-2019

Hi
If play via A2DP and OA is closed the playback is perfect (Using PI built in Bluetooth). If I play via A2DP when OA is running the audio cuts in and out once a second or so. Any ideas what could be causing this ?

The best way would be to check with external Bluetooth Dongle (not based on Broadcom chip). OpenAuto Pro uses also bluetooth resources for HFP and tetheering which Broadcom chip is not able to handle properly for some phones.

Ok is this because the PI has bad Bluetooth its a PI3+. What Bluetooth dongle do you recommend ?

Get regular BT 4.0 dongle based on different chip that Broadcom.

Several people are using the Panda 4.0 adapter with good success. Have a look at my parts list in my signature, it’s an Amazon shopping list. On there you will find the Panda BT dongle.

You can turn off "discoverable" in your on-board bluetooth settings to stop the skipping, but it won't improve the tethering and phone functions.
