Voice delay in AA - aiymanqazi - 06-16-2019

Hey so I have just set up my pi on my desk with OAP running just to test everything before I put it in my car and I've tried calling some people and the audio seems delayed like I'll say something and there is a 7-10 second delay before my friend will answer I don't know if this delay is on the incoming voice or the outgoing voice. I've tried calling people through the regular telephone app through Bluetooth without AA running and there is no delay it works fine, I've also tired this through Wi-Fi AA and USB and it does the same thing. This is my first time using a pi and openauto so I don't really know what to check.

Thanks

Update: So after some more testing it looks like the delay is coming from my end when I talk it takes time for it to be heard at the other end but when they speak it come through right away. It also looks like there is a delay in "ok google" commands, it opens up right away because it uses the phone mic to detect "ok google" but then anything I say after takes a few seconds to be recognized by the software.

I have also tried switching between an external Bluetooth adapter and the internal Bluetooth both give the same results.

AndroidAuto process is quite heavy task for the phone. It looks like your phone is overloaded when AndroidAuto js running. What is the phone model?

Please provide us detailed description of your setup.

Did you do any modification after flashing the OpenAuto Pro?

I have not made any modifications after flashing, I don't know how yet.

My setup is the raspberry pi with a HiFi berry dac+ pro, I have a usb mic and the raspberry pi 7" touchscreen, I am using the internal bluetooth on the rpi and usb for android auto. That's it for now.

Yes, I have a BT 4.0 adapter I tested it with both internal and external bluetooth adapters. I have also just tested it with a car that has AA built in and it worked perfectly fine.

And did you execute sudo btswitch external command before testing with external adapter? What is brand and model of your external adapter?
