Android Auto not starting (USB | WIFI) - Rioux - 05-14-2019

Recently bought Openauto Pro and i have this issue.. i have a "Connection" loop when i try to connect in USB or via WIFI hotspot from my phone. I was using crankshaft and recently had issues(android auto no launching too...)



Im using a raspberry pi 3 B, 7inch touchscreen from raspberry, onboard audio, usb microphone and raspberry pi camera

From your description looks like you are missing system requirements - external sound card. This information is available on the shopping card and OpenAuto Pro user guide.

So the soundCard is the reason that Android auto wont start? even if everything else works fine? weird Because i'll need to spend money on a soundcard that i wont use... But thanks for the help!

Yes, you have to use external sound card with microphone input ( 5$ card is good enough ) - it is clearly stated in system requirements in your email and product description

Ive already did that! Using usb microphone, internal RPI soundcard and still cant connect via USB or WIFI

Please double check whether internal sound card was properly detected and set as default audio output device.

Ive just tested and sound works fine and mic works too... i have no clue if its my raspberry pi or android auto on my phone the prob

Please reproduce the problem several times and provide logs located at /home/pi/.openauto/cache/openauto.log



Please also explain in details what do you mean by connection loop?

I mean that when you choose USB or WIFI option, i get the normal connection interface with the loading bar but it will never load... if i turn headunit server off i get the error that cant connect to android auto.



I have a Samsung s8 on latest android Pie

Just came back from school, tried again... Worked... I have no clue why its working, Ive tried so many things to fix it this morning and nothing. It works now. I can't help anybody with this issue, I have no clue how i fixed it...
