AA - I have to unplug and then plug the USB port. - rpg100 - 02-02-2019

Hi guys, I need your support here.
When I have my phone connected to the USB port, and then I start openauto, it never connects and shows the message " Android Auto is currently unavailable".  To connect it , I must unplug and then plug the USB port. It does not matter if the setting is automatic or manual.
In the other hand, if I have openauto running and then plug the phone, it always connect.
It could be related with my phone, but no idea how to move forward.
Thanks in advance.

Procedure of handling already connected phone is the same as hotplug one. It looks like an issue with the power. Raspberry Pi consumes more power at startup that may affect USB especially when the phone is equipped with fast charging feature. Could you please try to use powered usb hub and check whether issue is reproducible? As an alternative to powered usb hub you can try to use USB Y cable.

It worked for me when powered from a hub. Solved
Thanks
