Radio application and hardware - GSPW - 01-10-2022

Hey Appollo10, could you please tell us more about your FM radio app? Like what is it and how do you like it?

Hello everyone, the Fm module is based on qn8035, the project is not mine, but can be found on the net: https://github.com/dilshan/qn8035-rpi-fm-radio
As a tip, the chipset is quite sensitive to the frequency of the external oscillator, do not try to make the diagram presented in the link, the reception will be poor. I got a very good result from a car mp5 player board module that i cut and mounted in a box with rca conectors for audio output Smile (The board was allready defective). I will test soon this module, with the i2c lines connected to rpi: https://aliexpress.ru/item/1005002310157128.html?sku_id=12000020019590512&spm=a2g2w.productlist.0.0.672f9355epNHS4
The result should be much better. I can't complain, compared to a TEA5767 it's much better - clean sound, quite good reception.
The software is written in gtk, the interface is made with Glade, it can be modified at any time - for example I added a few presets. I hope it will be a starting point for everyone, I noticed that there are many colleagues who want to have Fm radio integrated in OAP, and along the way the interest disappeared...
