Black screen on Android Auto - ferrignio - 06-11-2021
Hi
Today I had purchased OAP and install.
It seems work well; touchscreen work, I can connect automatically my phone on OAP and start Android Auto automatically but when Android auto start the display became black and I can't visualize anything; if I stop Android Auto from phone, on screen return the main menù.
I have also another problem with audio volume; isn't possible to set the level: is blocked to 0.
My hardware configuration:
Raspberry Pi 3B
7" capacitive touch screen
USB Bluetooth 4.0 adapter
16 Gb micro SD
Huawei P20 Lite with latest Android Auto app.
Any suggestion?

A: In 99% of such cases setup does not meet system requirements. It is mandatory to use external sound card, external Bluetooth adapter not based on Broadcom chip, efficient power supply (phone chargers does not work well with Raspberry PI) and screen that supports Raspberry PI FKMS GPU driver. You need all mentioned parts, otherwise OpenAuto Pro will not work properly (does not matter if you are installing it in the car or testing on the bench). 1% is lack of Android Auto application installed on the phone.
System requirements:
- Raspberry PI 3B, 3B+ or 4 (We recommend Raspberry PI 4 2GB or higher)
- At least 8GB storage
- 5V 3A power supply
- External sound card
- Microphone input
- External Bluetooth adapter
