Recommendations on turn-by-turn nav software? - Ashrond - 04-29-2021 Hi all, just wondering if people can share what software they might be using for turn-by-turn navigation as a stand alone option in openauto? sofar i am looking at both navit and wayze but, as i will be depending on this to not only guide me, but be usable while driving i am concerned with overall usability and so i thought i would ask what others are doing. thank you! RE: Recommendations on turn-by-turn nav software? - jennmike2 - 04-29-2021 My reasoning behind doing this project was so I can use AA and google maps. I would find a way that you can make this work for you or you may as well be using a standalone GPS. RE: Recommendations on turn-by-turn nav software? - Chrisfromwa - 04-29-2021 I looked into Navit, and it's good for what it is. But the moment you download a map for your area, it's outdated going forward. It seemed more of a hassle compared to just using AA and Maps. Is Waze available on Linux? I didn't think it was anymore RE: Recommendations on turn-by-turn nav software? - Ashrond - 04-29-2021 (04-29-2021, 11:34 AM)jennmike2 Wrote: My reasoning behind doing this project was so I can use AA and google maps. AA is NOT an option RE: Recommendations on turn-by-turn nav software? - Justindu - 05-01-2021 With the two options available now in OAP13, of AA or CarPlay - I gave up on adding the GPS hardware and maps needed for Navit. Wayz via Carplay is really good. I assume AA is also as good. |
