Cannot connect on OAP9 either by usb or wifi - Bisebi - 06-29-2020
System requirements:
a. What is the version of your RPI?: RPI4 2GB
b. Power supply details: 5V3A wall brick
c. Model of external sound card
: ad2p soundcard ans senheiser usb headset
d. Do you have microphone input? : Yes
e. Details of your Bluetooth dongle.: Asus bt dongle
f. Touchscreen model: no touch, using computer screen for now via hdmi and wireless microsoft keyboard+mouse
2. Android Auto:
a. Which version of Android Auto you have installed, at your phoneb. Model of your phone.
5.4.502264-release(Preinstalled on phone), Galaxy note 10+
3. Steps to reproduce your issue
plugging in usb or trying to connect wirelessly will result in nothing but a flash on the phone's screen that will minimise any running apps and a notification that says looking for android auto. sometimes i get a popup "unable to open MTP device 001,015"
oap worked with version 8.0on the same components. Never tried wireless before.

Did you install Android Auto manually or via Play Store? Looks like Android Auto app is crashing on your phone.
If you installed Android Auto manually, please check if you selected proper variant of APK file.

I cannot install through play store nor can I install by apk. The application is preloaded on my phone. I cannot uninstall it, I tried. The application works fine standalone. I did a data wipe for the application to be sure and it still does not work

You can install it by APK even if it is visible as system app. Try to install and test different variants of arm64 and armv7 because according to current behavior app is crashing which may be caused by compatibility issue with other Google components. APKs can be taken from sites like apkmirror or apkpure.

I did a reinstall of the same version from APK mirror. It worked! Thank you!
