Just wondering whether there are any plans to perhaps allow access to some of open autos features via an api. Would love to be able to control the info in the top bar for instance with live values read from the car, climate temperature, engine temp etc etc. I appreciate that this would take some work, but would be pretty awesome

We expect live gauges feature in version 3.4. But release date is unknown

@Rhys_m there were no such plans so far, however we like your idea. However, first we would like to provide features we are working on now.
@peetereczek we know that you can't wait for this feature.. stay tuned.

awesome, thankyou, I know you have the gauges and obd on the way, but this would be useful for data found on medium speed and vehicle specific thats not on OBD. I have a couple of projects on the go, so if you need a hand testing when you do eventually get round to it, I would be more than happy to help.
