AA over wifi build question - Ace - 11-30-2019 Hi, Planning on doing the following build, any feedback on any problems would be much appreciated: Hardware: RPi 3B RPi Official touchscreen GROM Audio BT3 (Bluetooth A2DP kit with mic input) Android phone What I'd like to do is: 1. RPi connect via Bluetooth to the GROM and have audio input and output run through A2DP. 2. RPi connect via Wi-Fi to phone via phone hotspot and run AA Is this possible? RE: AA over wifi build question - BlueWave - 11-30-2019 Yes, it is possible. The only thing you have to do is disable Music and Speech channels in OpenAuto Pro settings. RE: AA over wifi build question - Ace - 12-01-2019 Thank you - from what I understand this means the phone would be connected to the Bluetooth audio and not the RPi, is this right? So I am thinking if I want seamless audio (pipe through phone when AA is connected and play RPi audio through Bluetooth when standalone) I would just have to run a script when AA connects and disconnects to change the Music Channels setting and Bluetooth connection. Is this correct? Do I need an external sound card if I want to do this? |
